Assignment 3 was due this morning, but not late night working hard on it, oh no - a group of us became rather goody toshoes and had already finished the assignment by dinner time on monday. Celebrate our success!!!

Felling we were deservent of a few drinks, we headed to bar street. Generally a tourist area, we have now become aware of the cheaper bars hidden behind this street, where the locals drink. 10yuan a cocktail = £1, but only out for a few.

Random guy comes up to us, after hearing our accents and starts chatting. He is also at UIBE, but only flew in a couple of days ago, so he and the other 94 people from America are in isolation at a hotel across the street from the uni. ISOLATION? really need to learn the definition of this word - see if they have given my swine flu, I will not be happy. Oh well three Americans that were out seemed nice and got numbers so anyone who is placed in Beijing will beable to contact them.

After a few 2 many, alot of dancing and terrible attempts at mandarin we eventually made it back to UIBE. On a school night, not to be repeated, lol.

I got in the first taxi with Cat and Adele, Lee and Suzy were 2 follow in the 2nd. Suzy had my room key - but decided they wanted another dance. Arriving back at UIBE rather drunk with no access to my room, trying and failing miserably to be quiet I woke Helen up to get to bed. Lucky for me, she just laughed, and was still laughing in the morning.

With our heads hung low, sitting in class - Games - why oh why lol. Survived the day, without even requiring a nap. Bumped into our American friends from last night, when we went out for lunch - coincidental.

Dinner, still not felling 100% western food was on the menu - hut anyone? Thought since it was tourist restuarant their english wouldn't be 2 bad. Thought wrong, ordered 2 pizzas, accidentally got 4. HOW? could maybe understand if we had tried our mandarin, but we didn't. point and finger gestures, not rocket science, but failed all the same. didn't have 2 pay for the other 2 tho so can't really complain. Nice but struggling with the whole knife and fork thing tho lol.
