Started the day with a DVD - a touching story about 2 pretty young American heiresses who lost it all and then proved the CEO of their dad's company was trying to rip them off.
Late breakfast followed by some lounger, book and swimming. Thee was a strong cooling breeze and the sea looked quite rough. Good job I didn't get round to booking the snorkel trip then….
To take a break from the stress I cycled to the village to collect more water: normal waves and smiles. I was determined to eat at one of the street stalls, but gave it a miss when I saw a cabinet full of gristle skewers.
Back at the ranch, the beach was just too inviting so I eased myself in a deckchair and snoozed. I sensed the cloth gradually ripping all the way across until I was resting on the sand. Must have been the effect of uv degradation, certainly not my weight.
I fashioned a beach side sun lounger out of 2 deckchairs, and claimed it was designed so the crabs couldn't climb up it. This worked and before long Rip van Vincent was right beside me. Ahhhh!
Normal formula thereafter: cold Singha on the deck, foot massage, cool down inside once the aircon was switched on, early dinner and bed!
Note to self: must go kayaking tomorrow and explore the island by bike….
