Cam's Great Escapade
Hey guys. wow ive finally seen the point to this journal malarky, i write something funny and people comment back, genius. So anyway, Malyasia is pretty cool actually, it took a while to grow on me. The tour group im on have spent enough time together for everyone to stop pretending they are cool and interesting and start being normal so we're like a big family.
At the moment I'm somewhere in the middle of Malaysia, English people used to come here when it was too hot and stay in big houses by the tea plantations. Its bloody freezing but that might be because im used to normal Mayasian weather, i even considered putting on a jumper today. The journey here was a bit traumatic, we had a 6 hour bus ride in the oldest and slowest bus ever and funilly enough the Cameron highlands are on top of a very big mountain. The roads were really windey like a James Bond film and up hills we were going the speed of an old lady on a bicycle but down hill the driver floored it and we were screaching round hairpin bend. The driver looked like her hadnt slept r shaved in a while and at one point he actually fell asleep at the wheel (no joke.) He almost swerved into oncoming traffic and as that was towards the begining of the trip it was quite hard to relax afterwards. Anyway the village we are in are staying very English, actually it feels a bit like an English theme park, they sell tea and scones everywhere. Tomorrow we should be going on a walk around the strawberry fields and tea plantations and then on to Kuala Lumpur, the capital of designer rip offs (and Malaysia.) Tonight I think we are going to watch Pretty Woman because its the only dvd they have at our hotel. I miss you all tremendously and an afternoon in the park in Bristol would be really lovely right now but I guess Ill just have to wait, sigh. lots of love camilla x
