September 15th - we took 2 flights from new york to get to texas. our first flight flew us to Atlanta, which lasted 2 hours. it went quick as there was an interactive trivia game, the passengers play against eachother. There was a rivalry between Liam and Lianna, but in the end Liam won overall, as he is a clever genius!!! We then waited at baggage in Atlanta for ages, before Liam asked an employee who told us our baggage had been automatically transferred to the connecting flight. we ran back to the terminal and checked in. the second flight was roughly the same amount of time. we got to San Antonio and Liam's cousin Sherry and her husband John were waiting for us for 4 hours, Liam told them the wrong time!! they werent too impressed!! We grabbed our backpacks and went to Sherry's. We got settled in our rooms, then ordered pizza and headed to Liam's auntie's house to meet the rest of the family. We played basketball and pool. We came home and the girls had an early night, as it was a tiring day.

September 16th - We woke up quite early and got showered. we went to the local shops and got a few bits. we also had a walk around to see what was about. Lianna brought a cute dog coat thingy for her sisters dog Lady. Liam and Lewis bought some more boxers and socks. We came back and had sandwiches and chilled out. Sherry took us to the local Mexican restaurant and we all ate Taco's, very yummy!! we then headed to Liam's aunties and played some more basketball, we're getting goooooood!!!!

September 17th - It was Liam's cousins birthday today, we bought her some flowers and cards, and had bacon and eggs for breakfast. We got showered etc and headed to the riverwalk at lunchtime. The riverwalk is a shopping mall which has a river running through the middle of it. We had some lunch at a place called Chilli's, and got a few bits from the shops. Kim bought some more flip flops. We had a walk down the river and stopped for coffee. We then headed to Sherry's mums house for a big steak dinner, which Sherry had no idea about. Her brother was there and her nephew. Liam's uncle cooked the biggest steaks we have ever seen. It was Lianna's first steak, and she enjoyed it!! we played basketball to burn it off. Liam Lewis Kim and Lianna against Liam's cousins Andrew and Braydon - the English team won, beat them at their own sport!!!!!!!! we then came home and chilled out before going to bed.

September 18th - We got up at 9am and got ready. In the morning we went to the local post office and sent our parcels back home, so expect them soon!!! we also went to the local shops and bought Sherry a thankyou card and some chocolates, as she has been very good to us. she has done all our washing so our clothes are fresh when we leave. Bless her. We also went to Wal-mart, which is part of Asda, but much bigger. Lewis bought a Dallas Cowboys shirt. Kim has bought some more shoes, the woman is obsessed!!! we came back to Sherry's and chilled out, then went to China Village Buffet for dinner. It was so nice, much better than any chinky's in england. we then went to Liam's aunties and played more basketball and pool, by this time we are semi-pro's. The L.A Lakers has asked us all to play for their team but we declined HAHAHAHAHA!! we then came back and chilled out with a coffee. Kim has now been bitten 11 times, the mosquito's love her skin!!!!! Last day of Texas before we head to L.A and the trek.

September 19th - We all woke up at 9ish and had another cooked breakfast!! we packed our final things, and headed for the airport at 11:30. we boarded the smallest plane in the world, Liam's head touched the ceiling of the plane!! we had a 3 hour flight to Salt Lake City, then transferred to another plane for a 2 hour journey to Los Angeles. We got to the Hacienda Hotel and got sorted into our rooms. afterwards, we all went down to the bar and pretty much got trolleyed!! had to be done!! Liam and Kim done the biggest shot of Sambuca ever, it was at least 4 shots in one - u no the americans always have things bigger than england!! i dont know wat time we all rolled into bed.

September 20th - we had a lay-in this morning, then us 4 got up and went to the gym in the hotel. probably the only time we'll do that!! after this, we went down to the pool for sunbathing. Liam got really burnt on his chest and legs. Lianna's hotel roommate joined us, her name is Ellie, shes cool. We pretty much chilled out today, and packed our bags ready for tomorrow.

September 21st - The Trek Begins!!!!! we all got up at 6:30am, as we met the group in the lobby at 7:30. we had a talk and filled out insurance fgorms etc, then loaded the van and headed to San Diego. There was 10 girls and 3 lads!! outnumbered!!!! when we got to the campsite, we put up our tents, and had lunch, then we headed to the beach. we found a cool bar by the end of the afternoon, so we all went there for "teambuilding" aka drinking!! we got back to the site and our tour leader, Tafline, cooked us a chilli con carne. we munched that, then all sat round the campfire to get to know eachother, over a few beers. 9 english, 1 polish, 1 scot, and 2 welsh!! what a combination!!!

September 22nd - we woke at 7:30 and had breakfast. The plan today was either Seaworld, or the Zoo. Lewis went to the zoo. Liam kimand lianna werent bothered about any of them, not enough to pay, so we got dropped off at the zoo and walked around for 6 hours!!!!! what a boring day!! felt like the schoolkids who couldnt afford the school trip haha! after this, we headed into san diego town, and we had a beer and look around. we headed back to the camp and Lewis's team cooked dinner, stir fry. we were all in groups, and changed our jobs each day - cooking, cleaning the van, and washing up. after dinner, we sat up for a bit, then headed to bed.
