Back in the city of churches and of course where Vorney was born. We checked into an apartment in North Adelaide conveniently not far from the Women's and Children's hospital and close enough to the zoo that you could hear the lions roaring at night!
Caught up with friends from the playgroup days Jo, Charles, Hen and Patrick. Felt like we left yesterday not eight years ago.
Went back to Malvern our old neighbourhood and revisited Izzy's first pre-school, kindy and of course Unley Primary. Also saw Molly our pooch who was adopted by Helen and Jean Pierre when we left for overseas. She looks more wombat like than terrier and just as crazy as ever. Poor old Scully their other dog is very frail and possibly won't see out the year.
Uncle Robert is still here but now running a coffee shop called Dunks & Unley. Vorney had her first taste of work experience and helped Bridget in the kitchen and they made a smorgesboard of food which she delighted in serving to us in the restaurant. You could not wipe the grin of her face, a junior master chef in the making! The business is a lot of work for Uncle Robert, Bridget and Kerry but so far going well and brilliant to catch up again.
Now for the big drive across the Nullarbor and home to Perth.
