Keep sending the messages- we love reading them- it puts a smile on our faces when we log in!
Well where to start- we are currently in the south of France at a Place called Cavalier Sur Mer which is very close to St Tropez. We arrived here on Saturday from Pisa.
So we'll start with Pisa- It was our favorite town in Italy. Not to touristy and just overall a lot nicer place. Our campsite was 800 meters from the tower- so obviously we took a stroll into town. The tower is in the same grounds as a Cathedral and again haven't got the brochure in front of me but another spectacular building. See photos. And of course we had to do the old picture of holding the tower up…lol. Along with the all the other hundreds of tourists there! So after we had walked around the grounds we went off exploring in the town and found some really unexpectedbeautiful buildings and had the best Icecream yet! It was yummy! We even found a 99cent shop and brought loads of things-we're on a budget don't you know! Anyway- highly recommend Pisa- really lovely.
So we left Pisa and left Italy on Saturday morning- got stuck in some lovely traffic jams in 36c heat!!
We hear you've been having rain at home!!lol
Anyway- we thought we would give you and end summary on each country once we had finished them. So Italy- Full of Italians, Pasta, Pizza and psycho drivers, would go back again, BUT NOT DRIVING. Actually we would, but only FULLY COMP or in a bumper car & if all the Italians had died or all gone on vacation at the same time Or actually passed a driving test! Apart from that it's a lovely country and we did enjoy our time there. We've decided that the north of Italy is best and we want to go back and explore more of Tuscany.
So at the moment we are in the South Of France- first impressions- its very expensive and full of rich people, nice cars, bloody massive yhats and lots of money- the life I was meant to be born into!...... One day- one day! Oh and lots of topless ladies- not a pretty site- trust us!
Our latest camp site- is half way up a mountain and has lovely views of the town. We met a nice, older couple from England who told us of some good spots to visit- so on the day we went exploring we found a little town call Gassin- it reminded us of a little seaside village in Devon- (minus the sea) The houses were so pretty and the whole place so picturesque- however we walked past the local restaurants and to eat there a main course will set you back a minimum of 60 euro's! Ouch.
Martin and I (I got dragged)have been sea fishing a few times since we arrived- we found a really nice small beach not very busy. However the fishing trips have been unsuccessful- so far! I think the fact that all the locals have massive spear guns may be telling us something about the fish around here and why Martin can't actually catch anything at the moment! Or is it just that he's rubbish..lol
I have learnt to Snorkel! I have my very own PURPLE snorkel and mask. Unfortunelty they didn't have any in Pink L I'm doing ok so far, however my phobia of fish doesn't really help- I don't really get to close, however I am trying to over come it!
So that's it really- just chillaxing at the moment. We are leaving here on Saturday and our next location will be Pamplona, Spain for the running of the bulls. So if you don't hear from us again, ever, you know the Bulls won.
Love Martin & Karen x
P.s
We are adding the photo folders of Beers/ Wines and the Adventures of Sam Charlie. For those of you who don't know- Sam Charlie use to live at My Great Grans House, Nanna Alice until she sadly passed away- I remember when I was little all my cousins, me and my sisters used to play with him all the time. Well I received him when we were emptying Nanna's house and he's been with me ever since. I know it's a little sad but he has been and goes everywhere with me, he's never left at home. Well I thought it would be cool to get him at all of Europe's landmarks- that Monkey does travel. From a small bungalow in Kidsgrove- Sam Charlie will go on to see the world!!!!
