Day 1: Albion Park to Wagga Wagga
The adventure has begun! We departed home this morning at about 10 am, about an hour behind schedule. We were blessed with perfect weather that enabled us to get the van packed and ready with ease, although I do have to confess the stress of it all got to me a little and I did snap at Dazza a few times but once on the road it was smooth sailing. We discovered that the Pajero does not stay in cruise control when towing a van up hill. Nearly scared Darren half to death when it just switched off half way up a hill whilst over taking another van. Well at least we know that now.
The kids could not have been better behaved for the journey down although we have warned them that tomorrow they will not be playing games but taking in more of the scenery. They don't understand why but I'm hoping they will understand, one-day!
We made a slight detour and showed the kids the dog on the tucker box. Poor Brandon misunderstood what Darren said about it and asked me "why did the dog turn into a statue?" Gave me a little laugh, on the inside of course.
After Gundagai we had intermittent showers but it was clear once we arrived at Wagga. Started raining whilst we were seated having dinner but has stopped again since, I missed the weather report tonight but I'm hoping tomorrow will be nice.
Dazza caught up with his managers for a little while after we arrived and is hoping to talk with them again before we leave in the morning when we head to the Bruest's sheep farm. Micaela can't wait to feed the lambs.
Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.
