Cloudy but warmish
Up at 6.15 this morning….we caught the ferry over to the Isle of Capri.I don't know anything about the island so had no expectations. We decided to do our own thing rather than take the optional tour. The first thing we did was to go around the island on a small boat.We paid 15 euro and It took around 2 hours to see the rocky coastline and some awe-inspiring caves which the sea has formed. We went to the blue grotto where we stopped for around 45 minutes while other people in the boat took a smaller boat to go see the cave.We didn't as it was another 11 euro 50 cents and we've seen caves with blue water so no biggie.Afterwards we caught the cable car up the hill to Anacapri, the town centre, where we sat and had coffee and cake in the town square and watched the jet set walk by.In the end you could tell who had money….they all had the same hairstyle, shoes, clothes, bags, oh and nose jobs!!Hahahaha. While sitting there we had the tiniest spatter of rain for a minute but otherwise the weather was great….not too hot.We wandered around a maze of streets, bought some stuff and took photos, then it was time to head back to the ferry so we caught the cable car back down the hill and spent about 45 minutes wandering the streets while waiting for the ferry. It only took about 30 mins to get back to Sorrento so it's not a long trip.Tonight we had an included dinner at the hotel and then we went to Teatro Tassowhere we enjoyed an evening of Neapolitan songs and dances presented on stage. The show takes it's cue from the Tarantella, a typical dance of the southern regions. It was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed it.
