So here we are- our final destination!

We spent the entirety of today at the beach! Of course, the topless swimmers were a cultural shock for all us, but it definitely added to the Barcelona experience. The water was so clear and the perfect temperature! We laid around all day, taking in the sun and catching some waves. It was the perfect way to end our trip!

Later that night we had our fairwell dinner as a group. It was hard to enjoy the meal as we knew this would be the last night we would all spend together as a group. After a few entertaining toasts, some champagne, and of course tears, we all cheered to an amazing and unforgettable experience!

After dinner we felt the best way to finish the night was to experience the nightlife. We walked to the Magic Fountains and watched the spectacular show. There was a festival going on and we decided to ride this twisting coaster- definitely a fun time! We got back to our hotel around 1 and decided there was no point in sleeping with our airport transfer departing at 3:30!!!! We packed, we reminisced, we said our goodbyes.

I can never fully convey the experience I have had over the past 5 weeks. The sites and cultures exceeded my expectations and half the time I felt like I was dreaming. Above all, I will never forget the friends I made- scratch that- family! "Never have I ever" been surrounded by such caring and free- spirited people! I am still astounded at how well 38 strangers got along and shared bonds and memories that will last a lifetime! While I am excited to go home, I will dearly miss all of my fellow EF travelers!
