California love...
By 8 AM we had arrived in San Francisco! The hustle and bustle of the city could be heard for miles.
After arriving at our gorgeous hotel, we put on our walking shoes and headed out to explore! We wandered the streets of San Fran soaking in the sun and fast pace environment. We stopped off for a quick bite to eat at the Daily Grille. The smell of sourdough was in the air and I could feel my mouth watering! My French dip sandwich, on sourdough, was fantastic as was the service!
We finally made it to Pier 39 and headed straight for the seals! A multitude of seals of all sizes could be seen sunbathing, playing, and of course napping. It was definitely a popular tourist spot.
After much debating, Kevin convinced me to "bike the bridge." Not the best bike rider, I was at first hesitant. We decided it would be fun, and safer, if we rented a tandem! We hopped on and headed for the bridge! As we rode through the city we made our way to beach and docks. The smell of the ocean resonated through the crisp air as we flew down the sidewalk. We made it up the intimidating hill to Fort Mason and finally reached the Golden Gate Bridge. The wind picked up as cars could be felt buzzing by along the bridge. I was surprised at how popular biking the bridge was. We continued along the bridge, taking in the sea salt air and breathtaking views. At the end of the bridge, I turned back around to take in our accomplishment.
We set out for dinner that night and found ourselves at Osha, a popular Thai restaurant. As expected, the Pad Thai was delicious along with my Sparkling Me cocktail. We took a relaxing stroll back to the hotel and called it a night.
So far, San Fran hasn't disappointed!
