Hellooooooooo

Well we're now in Malaysiaaa which is coooool, was weird getting used to a whole new currency and language and stuff but we've just about got the hang of it! And its superrrr hot here its madnessss!

Anywaysss...we arrived in Penang an island off malaysia but joined by a giant bridge after a ferry ride from Phi Phi and then a 9 hour journey in a minivan (ouchhhh!) where we had to stop at the border and get a visa and all that cuffuflee..our driver was literally insane! The girls in front were concerened cos they kept seeing him fall asleep and the van seemed to be getting some serious air even though after closer inspection the roads were pretty bump free! He also did some prettttyyy dodgy overtaking..straight into oncoming traffic..nice!

We arrive in Georgetown in the evening and stayed in our first guesthouse style accomodation with shared bathroom and everything! It would of been pretty cool except i dropped my toothbrush in the shared shower and then got repeatedly electrictued (cant spell!) by the computer! not cool!

The next morning we hopped on a public bus and headed down to Batu Ferrenghi which is the beachhy part...we were pretty much dying over heat and exhaustion looking for a hosel when some english girls gave us some assistance and we got a room in Babe guest house which was very very basic (no more fridhe air con and tv for us!) it was literally just a room with a fan and beds. it was kinda cool though..had no electricity in our rooms so we sat on the balcony reading whilst chargin all our appliances on the communal charging point!

We pretty much spent our time on the beach and then we met some crazy man who told us he was on channel 4 for catching the worlds largest snake! he also tol dus hed just got back from visiting his girlfriend in birmingham and then half an hour later said hed just returned from his girlfriend in sweden! he was pretty weird! anyway he told us about a waterfall and national parkl so we did thoe on two different days. the waterfall was a let down pretty much no water in it! the national park was pretty amusing! trekking to a beach called monkey beach only to find no monkeys! char (who was drowning in her own sweat..sexy :p) was not impressed! we made packed lunched of peanut butter sandwiches though which were awesome! then andy found a coconut and then hunted round and found an axe type thing and got to work hacking it open..was amusing to watch but worked alright in teh end and we all had some yummy coconut :D

Oooh the food! We found the most awesome place to eat it was amazing! it was a food market where thers just hundreds of tables and then tonnes of different food stalls all around it (kinda like the food court in wokes but waaay better!) and you just wander round and order stuff..give them ur table number and they bring it over! we ended up with so much random stuff but was so cheap mmm it was heaven! we ate there pretty much every night after that!

On the sunday (dont ask us how cos we still have no idea how we came to this conclusion!) but we made the mistake of thinking it was easter and decided to celebrate with chocolate and a visit to Happy Feet Fish Spa! Which is where you sit with your legs in a tank while fish nibble at your feet! sounds nuts but was actually pretty cool once you get over the insane ticklyness of it! We got half an hour for a fiver and then got to write on the wall afterwards..was awseome! The next day when we went on facebook and were informed that it wasnt actually easter we were a little disappointed but have decided that at least we get 2 easters now when the real onen comes around :D

Urmmm i think thats it for Pengang...onto Langkawii!

We only got here yesterday but may as well update you on yesterday and today!

Welllll we got a boat from Penang at 8:30am (which was a killer seeing as me and tet only had 2 hours sleep!)..on the boat they insisted on playing Rambo and then more Rambo for the entire journey..stupidest film i've ever seen! Char fell asleep and was swinging her head all over the place which was pretty amusing and we had moreeee peanutbutter sandwiches mmmhmmmmm :D

We arrived in Langkawi and shared a minibus to the gueshouse where the guys were already staying with some girls off the ferry (they were travelling for 18 months..freakin crazy! we were pretty happy though cos they were pastyyy and whiter than us mwahahaaa) Theeeeen weee went for a wander..the island is duty free so we went and had a gander in this crazy shop...it really feels like your in an airport..with the whole perfume alchohol sections and then a supermarket thrown in the middle! Then we went and joind the guys on the beach and melted in the insane heat while they played tennis football or something absurd, then it started raining so we had a nice dance in the rain before trekking it back absolutely drenched to our room where we had a lovelyyyyy cold shower :'(

Theeeen we went out for dinner and then headed to the minimart for some beer and other alcohol assortments...me and char are in beer training its skank but its cheap! Went to some crazy bar/club thing where some insane malaysian lesbian fell in love with tet and continued to refer to her as 'my b****' was weird but she was pretty amusing!

Todayyy we got up and hired a car and drove round the island looking for stuff to doo, went to a waterfall where i managed to slip on a rock and end up in the water which was not cool! Then we went to McDonaldssss haha cos we're cool :D Drove around a bit moree..got lost a few times (not sure if its andys driving or the fact that char was navigating us from a map we got free at the harbour!) and then returned home where char and andy well asleep and me and tet came hereee!
