Packing up day to head to Shark Bay for two weeks with the Marlows. Already a couple of problems.

Rosie has developed a noise from the drive line, the constant 4wd vehicles tend to have a fair bit of backlash in the drive train and Rosie having 230,000ks on her has her fair share BUT in the last two days a clunk can be heard when backing off the accelerator. I've been all over it and there is nothing visually wrong with CV's, uni joints, engine and gearbox mounts, suspension bushes (these are badly worn but still intact) so it must be internal. It's something that is going to have to require more in depth investigation when we get back. I'm confident it won't be a problem while on this trip.

Second problem is the weather! Trying to pack up a car when it is pouring with rain every 15 - 20 mins is rather difficult. Winter has come back to Perth today and I want to start packing the car and the roof rack but it's not easy in these conditions. Anyway the plan is to be on the road around 7am tomorrow so we might get going by 8
