Early mornig start to cath the 9am ferry leaving I.grande back to Angra dos Reis where we hope to catch a bus to Paraty.
Lucky we had Lucianna our room mate from I.Grande with us at the bus terminal as she was able to help us buy our tickets! After saying ou goodbyes our bus arrived dot on time, except we expected him to wait for us instead the driver started to drive off. After chasing him withs out backpacks he stopped, but decided he wasn't going to get off his drivers seat to help us with our bags. Instead all the passengers on the bus had a good stare and chuckle at 4 girls struggling!
2.5 hours later arive in Paraty. Decided to continue our official backpacking by not taking taxi
Paraty charming place with cobble stoned streets and quaint houses. After a few cocktails I think we all curse the cobbled streets as there not easier to walk on, but we learnt they are arranged in channels to drain off storm water and allow the sea to enter and wash the streets at high tides.
We decided to do some exploring wander around town. Very different to I. Grande where there are no cars and you could practically walk everywhere. As the sun was out we decided to go down to the beach. It took us a good hour to get there up and down hilly roads and when we did arrive the sun dissapeared!
Happy hour Caiprinha! Che Lagarto is deffo a party hostel with everyone drinking in the courtyard by early evening! I think we'll fit in perfectly over here!
We had planned to go out for dinner but ended up somehow staying at the bar ( becoming a habit for us)!
Beach party : ) we discovered that the 1 hour long walk to the beach we visited earlier is infact only a 10 minut walk, it's just that we have no navigational skills and walk the longest route possible!
