Night location: Capri, Italy
We woke to a beautiful, clear, blue sky and after a light breakfast, we made our way up to the main square for an extra grande lemon and orange granita. It is so lovely to be back in this most favourite part of the world.
The little blue local bus was as we remembered, clinging to the cliff face and winding its way up to Anacapri. We meandered through the shopping laneways of this upper town; Amber purchased a linen table runner and Mum purchased a beautiful ceramic pot that is handpainted by a local artisan. For lunch we stopped at a beautiful terraced restuarant with bougainvillea draping from the balustrade, and enjoyed Caprese salad and pizza. It's so nice to be able to eat fresh produce again!
In the afternoon, Gemma, Amber and David returned to their favourite swimming spot, Marina Piccola. The water was even more beautiful than we remembered. The iridescent blues and the clear, deep water is spectacular.
Unfortunately, tonight Gemma was feeling unwell so Mum stayed to look after her while Amber and David went out for a light dinner. Hopefully she will feel better tomorrow.
