My first day back in the big EU! I truly love it here. The worlds such a beautiful place, even at its worst I wouldnt want to live any other day in age anywhere else in the galaxy.
So this is pretty much the wrap up for the day. After an over night flight to München which was supposed to connect to Köln in less than an hour, I got the lovely news that the United Airline flight attendants decided to go on strike! Cool. Hah! So while stranded in a foreign countries airport without a flight, nor a phone I just had to stay calm. Rebooked my flight for a later one. But that felt like the LONGEST 3 hour wait of my entire life. Surprisingly the flight was only about 40 minutes from München to Köln. I was a little freaked though, not going to lie. Because the only form of communication I had was with Johannas email & I knew she was working. Thank the good Lord that her mother went out of her way to look into my flight times and found out my flight had been cancelled. After being reunited with Thea & Johanna's momma I felt at ease. They made me the cutest "Welcome back Micayla" sign! After the airport we went to downtown Köln where we met up with Vero! Us four Ladies walked around downtown, it was a stunning day out. We went to dinner at a turkish restaurant & then went and picked up Mo! I was so thrilled to finally see her again after almost 2 years. (:
Craziest thing! On our way home, they stop from their german conversation and told me we were about to see some prostitues down this road. I'm thinking some South Tacoma Way prostitution ballagna. NO. Not even close. This was straight up prostitution. Each girl had her own Camper parked on the side of this street (which was surprisingly really busy even for the fact that there were prostitutes everywhere) some were standing outside, some were inside their Campers. Some dressed normal, some didnt have clothes on period! It was one of the most real sights of my life. That's actually probably nothing compared to what I will encounter in Bulgaria.
Before ending the night, the whole family gathered around the kitchen table and ate gelato that we had picked up on the way home. We celebrated over Champagne for the arrival of myself & for the 27th anniversary of Mr. & Mrs. Schalows marriage. How precious, huh?
Well it's time I go to bed. It's midnight here & Ive been up pretty much 2 days straight. Thank you Lufthansa for the free espresso in the airport! Haha
Au Revoir moi! Xoxo.
