What a day we've had! We slept pretty well surprisingly! Breakfast was ace! So much food and the best omelettes! Then we booked onto a tour around LA which was super good apart from the worlds most annoying tour guide who felt need to not only repeat everything 5 times but to shout everything 5 times! We started the tour around Hollywood, seeing the Dolby theatre where the oscars are held, the walk of fame, the Chinese theatre and all the handprints. Then we hopped on the bus and headed to the Hollywood Hills where we saw some famous people's homes and then went to 90210 and saw those homes and also Rodeo Drive. After this we drove to Santa Monica and saw the pier and beach and stopped for lunch on the pier. We chose to eat at Bubba Gumps which is my (Sophie's) favourite thing in America apart from Disneyland. The lunch was amazing we ate so much shrimp. After this we went to Venice beach which was really different to Santa Monica, it reminded us of Camden in London. While we were in Venice we also saw the high school where they filmed Grease and also the canal where they filmed parts of Valentines Day. Next on our tour was downtown LA where all the tall buildings are. When we got back to our hotel we walked around town to find a supermarket to buy some food for dinner. But we forgot we have no plates so are currently sat eating salad out of a paper cup! Hope you are all well across the pond! Love, Sophie and Claudia x
