Our leader sure loves Flying Lemurs! We came across a very excited Han on our way into the Sepilok rainforest discovery centre, this morning, - rushing to get his camera to snap the one he spotted from the canopy walkway. Luckily being daytime, and it being nocturnal, it hung around for him rather than gliding off. We had a good oggle at it for a while from the lofty walkway. The view of the surrounding rainforest from up there was superb, as were all the sounds. Less so were all the cobwebs we walked through!
Alas it was time to leave this humid but awesome region for our short flight back to KK and to our last stop, on the beach.
Tide was so far out when we arrived, so took a walk along the beach and watched locals collecting bits and bobs from the acres of puddle'd sand.
Our last supper was a nice occasion - on the seafront terrace. Nas gave a nice few words of thanks on all our behalf to Han for a fantastic trip and we gave him our turtle card - he said his highlight had been the turtles' early arrival a few nights previous - presumably so he could get an early night! Great chit chat and an even greater photo - of Linda eating an ice cream somewhat (accidentally) seductively and Han with his hand over his face!
The night concluded with game of whist, which whilst I didn't win I didn't come last thankfully!
