It's my third day in Bangkok and not really done much.? Am quite far away from the main attractions but moving to the backpacker area tomorrow and near the main sights so will do more then. I went to Jim Thompson's House yesterday. He's an American who rescued the Thai silk trade after the war, then he mysteriously vanished one day and has still never been found. Am going to visit a shrine today and then go to one of the markets.

The hostel is ok but so far away from everything. It is in a very Thai neighbourhood so when you go for a walk you feel as though you still out a lot. I have met a couple of people but this tends to be the place people stay for just one night before getting a flight on to somewhere else.

I still find it strange how cheap everything is so cheap.
I had dinner and a drink for less than a pound. Am still trying to work out which Thai food is the best to have. Some of it smells really disgusting and am getting a bit fedup of rice already!
