Happiness Buddha. That is our little Ahn, belly and all. He is quite jolly and is proving not to have a discerning palette. Yesterday afternoon, we stopped at Starbucks for a Mocha Java Chip Coffee and a pesto, cheese, ham sandwhich. We figured Ahn already has enough energy that he didn't need the coffee but he did enjoy a few bites of Mom and Dad's sandwich. Pesto at 13 months, who would have thought. Then last night, we went for Thai dinner. It didn't take long before the rice was "boring" and he was onto slurping up the Pad Thai noodles. His enjoyement of different cuisines makes him a natural fit for our family.
Trevor and I visited a Buddhist temple as well as the local cultural museum, while Grandma and Grandpa babysat. The Chinese carvings and silk embroidery are amazing. There was even a drawing / carving on a piece of rice. You have to appreciate the detail in everything that the Chinese do. Later, we spent some time in the hotel's playroom where Ahn could not get enough of the plush carpet. He mastered the yoga pose "Downward Dog", played with the toys and was even able to squeek out a few comando rolls / crawls as he was fixated on getting a leggo across the floor.
Today Candy and I went for a massage, only $10 for 90 min. Wow! Different but well worth the $10. Dad and Grandpa hung out with Ahn and even Dad learned to enjoy a nap. This afternoon, we enjoyed some time at the pool. Ahn enjoyed himself, especially motor boating with Dad.
That is about it on this end of the world.
