Well we have had the most amazing few days here! We have been to Fraser Island camping for 3 days with a group of 11. All piled into the hired 4x4 and hopped on the ferry then were left to it! We went to a lagoon when we arrived and then to the famous shipwreck on the island, the water looked very tempting but unfortunately we were unable to swim in the actual sea due to sharks and other nasties that may have bitten us! We did have a dip in the lagoon and the champagne pools which were stunning! (pictures will go on shortly!) We also went to Lake Mackenzie which is possibly one of the most beautiful places either of us have ever seen! In the evenings we cooked at the base camp, drank goon on the beach under the full moon (very much fun!) and checked for spiders in sleeping bags. We both had a go at driving the 4x4 and had alot of fun, much easier to drive than we expected! Neither of us crashed which was a bonus!

We are leaving Hervey bay this evening for Airlie beach, we have a night train as it takes 13 hours, but at least we don't have to pay for a hostel! We plan to meet up again with a couple of the girls from our Fraser Island trip as they are staying at the same hostel there. Then on Sunday we will be sailing the Whitsunday Islands for the day which we are very excited about!
