I've enjoyed catching up on your blogs and photo albums for the past hour- good GOSH I want to visit Karina in Ecuador! She's coming to San Francisco in June, which will have to do! I'm spending all my extra money to go to Telluride Bluegrass Festival in CO this summer, so L.Am. is out for now... Sorry to hear about the mustard- I say, keep trusting (most!) people anyway. Jayo and Emily are here right now, and they wish you well! Miss you bunches, happy St. Patrick's Day! LOVE from CA.

I enjoyed your journal entry from Caracas. I had similar thoughts about the country in a recent visit. Good luck with the terns and cultural learnings, and try not to get kidnapped.

You need to come back to Canada to have your faith in fellow mankind renewed. Sucks about the mustard though. A less staining, less smelly scam-condiment would have been more polite...

what amazing adventures you are having drew, it makes life in Boston seem so dull, I imagine traveling around the world is a bit more exciting than days spent in a lab. I am happy to have someone to live vicariously through. Everyone in Beantown sends their best.

Drew, once again, blown away by the photos and journal entries... I'd love to see more (esp. de Latino America!). San Francisco is still treating us all well- we've accumulated a few other Bates kids; Chris Casey is the newest arrival, and I hear Molly Marquand is next. Holidays in New England were wonderful (obviously; it's kiiind of my favorite time of year, aaand my favorite place on Earth)- hope yours were too!!! I thought of you on New Years and wished you well (in my head)- no joke. Emily sends her best; miss you!

Hi Drew! I hope this note finds you well. The snow is slow to come in Utah this year but the mountains are still beautiful. Duch decided to ditch poland spring and come out here too, its great. My mom has been following your web site... she loved the story about the meat jar and made some of my extended family members read it. ha! Well, enough for now... don't poo too much in Africa, I've heard thats an issue. Take care,
Love Kristin

Back in the wilds of WallyWorld... We had a great time with your parents on your Dad's birthday. Emily was still in Montana until Christmas Eve, but David was here safe and sound with his interesting slideshow of a year in Iraq. His new girlfriend, Virgina Farmer CRH '02 stayed for 5 days after Xmas. She's terrific. Emily likes her too. After our church clapped for David's return at 10:30 on Xmas Eve , we drove to the airport to get Emily. Your Mom came to watch a movie with us last week during Emily's last days with us. Very exciting times here. Best Xmas ever for the Morrises..both kiddies here. But the Stowe kids seemd to be living the 'high life' in Argintina!!!

It's a new year! I wonder where you're spending your first days of 2007?! I found myself in an airport new years day, maybe you did too? Too many people smelling of the night before all on one very small airplane.
Take care my friend, and see you soon?
