Left our lovely guest house in Ho Chi Minh at 6am yesterday for an early flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Only a 1 hour 10 minute flight on a very dodgy looking plane whilst reading a Vietnamese newpaper showing images of the Qantas plane with the explosion in the fuselage. Nice! After a crazy couple of days we are back in Vietnam the Old Quarter, Hanoi. Friday we caught the VIP bus from Luang Prabang to Van Vieng which was evidently a 5 hour trip but somehow turned into a very long and drawn out 7 hours through hill tribe territory. Last night in Luang Prabang - I think the staff at my guesthouse are sick of the sight of me! LP has been wonderful, very relaxing - lots of Lao Beers and have even had a Lao massage which was just bliss. The Night market is great, lots of dinky things that you didn't really need to be purchased for next to nothing.
