So we pretty much walked all of Lower Manhattan today! We caught the subway to ground zero where the world trade center memorial is, Megan and Elise checked out the information thing they had but I chose to stay outside, I didn't seeing what they were building and where it is at the moment but that was enough for me. We then headed into some shoe shops of course as we made our way past Wall Street and found a yummy sushi place! Megan was absolutely stocked because this bull that she has been taking about all the time that's here in New York, we found!! It was an exciting time!! There were even barriers around and and cops from NYPD (I'm need to get a photo with NYPD before I leave here!!!!)
Next location was the City Hall Park which had a fountain and some statues and then we tackled the Brooklyn Bridge! As we've already been to Brooklyn we just walked half way and then back so we could continue on into China Town and Little Italy!
We found a great little Thai place where I had some green tea fried ice cream - YUM!! And the girls had dumplings and a squid salad, they both looked very tasty! Some of the shops in China Town reminded me of Thailand and Bali, there was cheap bags and watches and the stores looked identical and all squished together! One of the highlights of today for me was seeing a cop on a bike, for some reason I couldn't get over it...?
After Thai we found a shop with this amazing dress out the front, we went in side and it was a shop where the people collected items and pieces of clothing that celebrities wore or are on offs. There was a dress worn by SJP in Sex and the City too!!
I was falling more in love with New York as the day went on, we jumped on the subway and headed to The Empire State Building! This was... I don't actually have any words, from the observation deck you could see everything! We paid a little bit extra and you get a pre recorded tour guide thing to listen too and this made the experience even better!! We left around 7 I think, Elise and Megan caught to subway back and I decided to walk. I don't think my smile left my face whole time! You would have definitely been able to tell that I was a tourist! I took my time, this time went past the front of the library and went through Bryant park, it was amazing! A free ballet show on and it was packed! There were two old men sitting there playing chess and just things happening everywhere! I headed back to our hotel and caught Elise on her way out to a shoe she was going to and then Megan and I decided to go shopping! Sophora and MAC - I'm pretty sure the US dollar is coming good because we are putting so much into the economy by shopping!! Then we were on a hunt for another suitcase each and it was actually pretty fun, in some of the shops you can bargain things down!! After we finally found the suitcases we wanted, I went to get pizza and Megan took all of out stuff and went back to the room. I was a little bit longer then expected... And came back with an iPad!! I'm pretty sure I'm on a shopping holiday!!
After such a big day my feet ate actually killing me!! I forgot we also went on the Statton Island fairy and got to see the Statue of Liberty! Such a great day today, absolutely b*****ed but there is so much more to see!! It's nearly 2am now and I'm planning in getting up at 9 so I can't fit it all in before the Sex and the City bus tout and the Yankees vs Redsocks game!! I'm very excited for the baseball!!

Sue Sounds like I am losing another daughter to New York. I guess the travel bug has embedded itself in your blood too now. You are going to hate coming back home. Stay safe and keep enjoying love from mum
