Our first day in San Fran, we did our washing in the morning and then we went and got out nails done just around the corner from our hotel The Holiday Inn Express. We were told to go there by a lady Brandy who worked at our hotel, she also told us some good places to go in Las Vegas.
After we got our nails done we walked around Fishersmans Wharf, I was very excited when I saw the Fishermans Wharf sign! It was a bit of a chilly fat and real foggy as well, you couldn't even really see the Golden Gate Bridge it was that foggy!
It was coming close to lunch time and we saw Ben & Jerrys Ice Cream (it was amazing) then we checked out Hyde Street Pier where they have old ships and boats and information about the wharf. After that we walked to Pier 39 top pick our ticket up for Alcatraz, and then went back to Pier 33 for lunch. We had an amazing lunch at a place called Fog Harbor Fish House! I recommend going there! Pier 33 was really cool, they had a magic shop, a shop just for socks, one called leftys (for left handed people) and a real yummy place for crepes! And there was so much more!
Next stop was Alcatraz, looking from Fishermans Wharf I didn't think
they island was that close, I expected it to be so far away but it's amazingly close... Something like 1.5 miles away!
Alcatraz was really good to see (a bit chilly) but there is so much history there and to see what it would have been like, and also with the audio tour you really get a feel of what is there.
Once we were back, we waked to our hotel and stopped at bottle shop, alcohol is ridiculously cheap here, it's so good! We had some drinks and then headed out to a bar in Union Square - only mistake here was I didn't have dinner! We met some blokes who were at the footy all day and we all kept on having some drinks, then all of a sudden I was gone! So,lucky Megan was the to look after me lol, we got home then it was pass out time!!
