Well hello again from us! we hope that you are all well and not missing us to much...
Since we last updated, we have got out our little scooters and have been zooming around Goa, well not to far as I 'Tei' am bloody scare, but feel safer on my own bike. So far so good.... My toe has heeled, thankfully so it has all been go go go since then. Went out to a little place they call 'nine bar' in Vagator, which was pants the first time we went we stayed until about 7.30/8ish 'o such ravers' and decided it wasn't going to get any busy, so we got a taxi to Anjuna and chilled out there for the evening, needless to say a little worse for wear... rolled in quite early and then I passed out 'nothing new there as you all know'. Spud adopted some friends which was great and we ended up having some drinks and dinner with them, hopefully they may look at our site, so thanks to Rich and Hayley for a nice evening, we hope you enjoyed your last night and were be down to Ross-wye on our return for some of those nice cakes you were mentioning.......
We went back to nine bar @ nine and finally the pennie dropped that nine was good time to go, the place was packed, security were really scarey and it was generally 'havin it'. So we enjoyed that night. We found a great little Korean resturant to, the guy who runs it is actually Tibetian and his wife is Korean, he was very informative about the situation out there.. A little political so we will tell all on our return... but such an amazing place to dine, you really can't put into words how hospitable they were.
Today we went out on a little fishing boat all down the back waters of Chapora, which was wicked! we saw so many things, and found out exactly how the fish are caught. Everyone was waving and we also caught some clams, and was a bout a meter away from loads of eagles and hawekes. 'Sounds great' but if you have seen Alfred Hitchcock' 'the birds' then you will relate and understand that it can be quite terrifying. Anyway we also saw the local people in the water catching musells, they spend half the day in there, honestly it really makes you think how mad the English really are.the life out here is very mucg that of an old fashioned one, you catch your dinner, you trade you eat. No jelousy and not to much greed, which is a beautiful thing.
We went to Anjuna, the other day to go back to Osho, the meditation place, where i learnt it and stayed last year, only to see that it was like deralict.. 'The tears were almost roling' when all of a sudden 'hippie Trish and A guy called Slash appeared' brilliant, completly in saine, just the way i remember, but in the most beautiful way. Spud thinks were get on great, i agree i am probably madder then she is. She was really happy to see me and decided that it must be fate, so we are of there tommorow to stay for around five days or so. We plan to help regain the beauty that it once was, the garden is in need of some serious work and so we purchased our very first plant which we plan to grow in the garden. This is exactly the kind of thing were looking forward to. Hippie Trish knows quite alot about Goa and plans to take us to a massive mountain to Meditate... Spud can't wait as you can imagine..
We also met a gorgeous little 12 year old, her name in English 'Monica' her real name i have but can't find it, so this will have to do, Anyway blah blah she was so sweet, and explained many things to us about the history and traditons of the local culture. She has 7 sisters and her second eldest is 15 and all ready married 'jesus' as you can imagine, and bless her she lugs around half her body weight in sari's trying to sell them to tourist's like us. We just gavev her a little treat for her, and then we played bat and ball on the beach which is a rare thing over here, to see a westerner playing with the local girls. We had a great day and i wanted to adopt her, spud said no 'boo hoo' o well i wish her well and hope that she finds a good life, one she truley deserves.
Tonight we are packing 'boring' and then tommorrow we move, on yet again a great time, we have seen alot here and look forward to the madness that awaits us in Anjuna! 'bring it on'..
we will be back with no doubt some funny tales soon. love to you all and Chadders 'happy belated birthday'...xxx
