Greetings from Puerto Natales in Chile.
Since last we spoke we have also had a whistle stop tour of punta areanas, which to be honest wasn´t all that interesting so we only stayed one night but we sti had time to kiss the toe of the statue which apparently gives you good luck, according to Michael Palin.
In an attempt to appease those calling for photos we uploaded some/one yesterday. There were a lot more but it would have taken days with this internet connection so we´ll try from somewhere more central.
Well it was snowing when we left Ushuaia which was lovely but there was also a fair bit of snow on the road and our bus driver wasn´t content t sit behind the gritting lorry so it was a bit tense in places. Bu there was lots of wildlife and scenery to look at.
We saw lots of Guanacos which are related to and look indentical to llamas, Teg saw an owl which was cool, we also saw these really big birds which look like ostrichs but we thought they cant have been cos ostrichs live in Africa but apparently the Ñandu is a member of the ostrich family, unfortunately from a moving bus this wildlife is hard to capture on camera. They also have the coolest sheep here they´re all fat and fluffy and the size of a large lamb, much better than the sheep in england!!
Today is al organizing we have to organise a trip to the perito moreno glacier and a trip to the torres del paine national park as well as getting our tickets for the navimag ferry and maybe the bus to pucon.
Hope you all lke the picture Toby
