Phnom Penh was a flying visit and although a lot more relaxed then Saigon or Hanoi, the repeat request of 'do you need Tuk Tuk?' every step you took soon became an irritation. The war theme continued with a visit to the Killing Fields and S21 Museum, the converted school before the prisoners were shipped out to the Killing Fields. Very interesting but needless to say the mood was a little low during the afternoon. Dinner with some of the guys from the Mekong Cruise soon lifted the spirits as 1 or 2 beers turned in to several which resulted in a 4am finish which didn't bode well for a 7hour bus Journey to Siem Reap at 10am.
We stayed 3 nights in Siem Reap where we hooked up with Steve who we had earlier met in Vietnam and several others from from the Mekong cruise. Siem Reap is the gateway to Angkot Wat, apparently the largest man made religous structure in the world, although i'm sure the Egyptians would have something to say about that Pretty amazing and the scale of it all is breathtaking. I won't harp on about the temples but many of the pictures are on Facebook, probably too many but you can't help yourself.....
