The final full day at oreintation but a VERY tough one!! From 8am right through to 6.30pm with hardly any breaks throughout the day, we were in workshops about teaching and schools in North Carolina. The information was excellent but it was just too much in too short a time. It would have been much better spread over an extra day.

Again with little time to prepare, we had to get ready for the orienatation farewell dinner and dance. The dinner was very odd - it was a buffet with a random mix of food.... southern fried chicken, meatloaf, salad, vegetable, mash, gravy and what they call biscuits but are actually more like a light fluffy scone that they eat like bread with a meal!

The dance was fun though .... very few participated so we had the DJ playing exactly what we all wanted. He even played Nik's CD with Wig Wam Bam, the Music Man, Agadoo and Superman on etc. We were all up doing the various dances and those from other contries thought we were mad! We even thought we'd take the opportunity to share the first part of the british culture of putting handbags on the floor in the middle when dancing in a circle. The so didn't get it though!!!!
