What's Up!!!

So since my last blog... i've had some pretty mental expiriences!! Started off with late yesterday afternoon Ben and I, during the middle of a thunderstorm, thought we'd be clever and hike, for blumen ages, up to the 'viewpoint' of the island. As you can tell by the name, the view was meant to be awesome.

So a good few heart attacks and stiches later we arrived drenched at the top of a mountain and took some awesome photos of the view. We could see each side of the island and most of all just how much damage the Tsnumai did to the island. We finally got our breathe back and then a man turned up with a MASSIVE eagle, roughly 1 pound later we had the eagle placed on our shoulders and a lot of photos taken, all pretty awesome! We then hiked to the second viewpoint and had an even better view... whilst avoiding the snakes on the path!!

Woke up this morning and booked our day off Shark swimming, Cliff Jumping, Island hopping, Monkey feeding and Turtle swimming!! All for about 14 pounds so pretty awesome deal. We met this small crazy thai dude on the corner of a street and he led us through some housing estate to his little wooden boat, that im pretty sure had spent the majority of it's days at the bottom of the sea! We bombed it out over the pretty large waves and then we stopped and he said 'In you go' ... Whilst releasing numerous bodily fluids and swearing a lot we stepped off the boat into the sea... swimming around for about 10 minuets with no Sharks we finally saw one emerge from the mist... OH GOD. Luckily the first shark encounter was only a little one, about a meter and a half long... so still pretty large and then we spent the next hour or so paddling through sharks... which i gotta say was absolutely awesome!! Biggest one we saw was about 2 meters maybe so not to big but still a SHARK!!!

Next we hit some cliff jumping... Ben the expert led the way and i only got enough man in me to do the 8m jump whilst he hit the 14 meter one... i obciously like my life a little more haha.

Then we just looked around some islands and went to Monkey Beach, fed some monkeys some pineapple and then watched them have sex... nice.

Turtle swimming came next and once again was a great expirience!! So cool!! Loads of them and all pretty large!!

So yeah, has been a pretty awesome day and have had a LOT of new animal encounters in the last 24 hours.... just intrigued to see if a snake creeps into my room tonight!
