Hey Folk.
First things first... I missed out the most important detail from my last blog.
So... Drink it in:
We arrived back from Fraser island to our incredibly boring hostel so myself, ben, Rachel and beth decided to head out on a beach walk...
Being super cool - we decided to ignore the warning sign that stated Estuary Crocodiles inhabit this area' and continued onto the sand. 10 minuets in we notice claw print. 2 pairs of most definitely not dog paws with about 2 feet width between each foot and a dragging mark in the middle...
That was enough. We turned round and looked back into the shallows at what we previously thought were rocks... But no, rocks don't move. After some serious panic and serious splashing we ran our hearts off back to the hostel. Pretty insane!
Took the bus up to Airlie (supposedly) two nights ago but due to the 4m high floods we remained stranded in a town half way called Makay. Makay is known for being redneck central, mining town, with a lot of aborigines and nothing to do. After many discussions with ben ben and Gerard we made our decisions.
We were booked onto the Whitsundays sailing trip for three days starting today, but, due to the weather we can't get there and therefore have moved it to later next week. However... That still looks unlikely as the forecast is due to stay raining.
So... What's Tom doing?
The other three guys have decided to stay in Makay as they want to wait for the rain to pass and hopefully make the whitsundays trip. Me however? I'm now in the airport flying up to Cairns on my own as I don't want to hang around wasting time here. Considering that the forecast isnt looking any better the other guys may head back down south and therefore there's a chance I may be doing the rest solo.
So, off to Cairns.
Hope you're all well!

Bob Am amazed that you set off solo. Sounds like things have held up pretty well for you after making that move. Keep it going!
