Hello - from a pomme. Hope the worlds well.
Arrived in Sydney late last night after an awesome flight on the old A380! Couldn't actually believe that a plane that big flies!! Really impressed with Qantas though. They have a skycam camera on the tail of the plane so on your massive 10'' screen you can watch the outside world fly by - very cool!! That with free ice creams and beer!
After touching down we spent three hours on the trains and local busses of NSW and finally arrives in Collaroy around 1am. In an awesome hostel - right on the beach with three other guys in our room, all sound.
Spent today surfing on the beach and being scared of sharks after talking about how many there where with the life guard!! Not cool! Actually pretty chilly here today - about 20 degrees and the sea was warm so the surfing in board shorts wasn't quite what I thought it would be!
Heading over to main Sydney tomorrow to do the sites and I'll fill you in after our evening of $5 all you can eat and as much beer as you can drink evening - in an hour. Bring on the buckets.

Bob G'day mate aka Pomme! Qantas sounds like a great alternative flight experience for you - I like the idea of the skycam, ice cream and beer. How do they do all you can eat on five aussie dollars for a guy with your appetite - a loser for them I'm sure, especially with the buckets! Looking forward to your next update. Dad Crikey Sport!! Sounds cool in more ways than one...though it looks like it should warm up in the next few days. Hope you find lots to do there, Sydney is after all one of the world's finest cities. Its a real trip down memory lane with you staying up near the northern beaches and the Pittwater. Have fun there, its a fab place and don't worry about the sharks. Love Dad x
Tom Hello!!! James - yeah I'm pretty on it. Bob - yeah it was a real good flight with them!! We didn't do the five dollar deal as we didn't have time to get there but made a pasta in the hostel instead. Hope you're well!! Dad - yeah hopefully it'll warm up a bit, sounds good! Haha yeah I bet it is - went to manly last night! X
