While in Phuket it was 'Day 3' so we went in search of a clinic to get my 2nd rabies Jab and found Phuket hospital which was like a 4 star hotel. I was registered at the front desk by a very efficient lady who created me my own folder and ID card and I was then escorted to the right area. We passed lots of very swanky looking specialist departments. Everything was pristinely clean and It was all going so well until the 'Dr' came out....She looked no more than 16 which wasn't a problem on its own but the white labcoat she wore literally drowned her, she looked like a little girl playing dress up which wasn't helped by the fact she (or who ever had dressed her that morning) had done the buttons up wrong so all lopsided with her sleeves hanging over her hands and shoulders like Herman Munster she walked through the waiting area texting from her iPhone without looking up. Before I had chance to insist they took her back to the children's ward and get me a real Dr I was called in and Jon had removed my fingernails imbedded in his hand we went into her play area...sorry office and we noticed she had a IV drip taped in her hand. I mean seriously she'd clearly escaped from the phyciactric children's ward! But being British and not wanting to offend the clearly mentally challenged infant I let her jab me in the arm and crossed my fingers that at least the syringe and vaccination were real.
