Dive, dive, dive Part II
After the amazing whale shark dive the water above was as rough as before and Katy and a few others were to too sea sick to do the second dive....
While Jon was doing his second dive I shared the top deck of the boat with my new seasick buddy - a guy from Amsterdam. Unlike me, who is no stranger to the joys of the motion of the ocean, this bloke was in a state of shock and confusion at this sensation.. Deathly pale he staggered into the seating area (where I was clinging to a pillar trying to concentrate the nausea away) He quizzed me for answers....
"I've never had this..!?"
"Why is this happening to me!?"
"I feel Sooooo bad!"
Although I offered all the usual advice, look at the horizon, don't look at the sea, sit outside etc it wasn't long before the inevitable happened - me sprawled out on the floor with my head hanging through the railings, whimpering and him hanging off the front of the boat hurling for Holland. After a particularly intense, synchronised game of dry wretching I slid my cup of water across the floor towards him where he'd collapsed in a heap.. We exchanged a look of sympathetic understanding ....he took the cup...no words were necessary.
