After realising where we'd gone wrong last time a few days later we decided to attempt the National Park again. Once again we ended up at the same T-junction so decided to stop and ask directions at Mong Bar, who's tag line is "In Bud We Trust" hoping that in their directions WE could trust we set off again.. This time we found ourselves on a very bumpy road towards a cave which we abandoned after a few miles when there was no sign of a National Park... Finally after one more stop we found the road which after a few little towns took us up and down huge hills into thick jungle with amazing views over the sea and monkeys regularly crossing the road.. When the heat was too much and we'd run out of water we pulled over at a sign for a beach bar and after a very long steep walk down to the beach were relieved to find very boho beach bar....which was closed. We set off again in the direction of the park and after more very steep hills and jungle finally came to a road block which was the entrance to the park and where you paid. Here we found out that you took a 2hr trek through the jungle with the highlights pointed out on a big map, including: Tree Mould, Vines and Termites. We were also told the restaurant was closed for another hour so nowhere to get a drink. So despite it taking us 2 days to find the park along with a few others we decided to not go any further and set off on the long trip back.
