Hi everyone!! Im on the west coast of the island now. I have not had internet for quite some time but its been nice. My friend Abby came to visit me here n Zanzibar. She met a local guy in Iringa and brought him along with her. His name is Leons and he studies birds in the bush. He was raised by an English couple and has a really interesting sories of his life. Im really glad that he came because he had lived in Tanzania all his life and had never been to Zanzibar, which is only a 2 hour ferry ride form the main land. It was nice to have someone that could speak the language...and get us some great bargains. We took off for Bweju on the east coast and stayed at the same place we did when we were here last. It was so beautiful. The place is run by a bunch of rastas and we drummed around the bon fire everynight and gazed and the stars. After a few days we left and went to the west side at Kendwa beach, where I am now. I am staying at the HWite Sands hotel which is right on the beach. Its alittle more touristy place but its still pretty quiet. Abby and Leons left yesterday so I am alone again but I really love it. It is so peaceful here and I am able to catch up on my tan, reading and some school work. There is just something so special and unqine about travelling alone. I fell that I have learned alot about myself and for once I am able to be still and listen to my soul. I had a really powerful moment on the beach at sunset last night. It was something I coudl not describe but it was like all of a sudden everything made sense and my whole reason for being here was clear. Being here by myself and in this beautful place had allowed me to clear my head and find the peace that I had been searching for quite some time. I am so grateful to have that experience. oday was like I was a new person and I feel totally refreshed and at peace. Im ready for the next adventure life is going to throw at me. I wish everyone could travel alone at some time in their lives because it really is enlightening. Anyways....enought
