Dear Friends and Family,
So I am getting very excited now. I just have one more rotation left before I start my LOA and there is only 15 days before I fly away to London.
I am still tidying up some loose ends before I leave Calgary. The funny thing with the flight I booked is that I fly out from Saskatoon and then have a lengthy lay over in Calgary. Thankfully I have some lovely friends who have offered to pick me up for a coffee and visit. The last time I had to kill that much time in an airport by myself was in Minneapolis Airport in February of 2002. Many of you will remember the heightened security of the time. I had met a lovely young lady from London and we spent a fair amount of time people watching and admiring the talent. The shops were all closed so not much else to do. I think it was my first time in an airport with a strong military presence aka lots of soldiers with big guns. I was also not on friendly terms with guns at the time and as per usual was trying to use a little humor to to deal with it. Apparently one soldier had very good ears when I made a fairly cheeky remark about a question that I should ask. I definitely wasn't so cheeky when he came over to ask if I had any questions and I still can't remember the question.
With any luck I will be able to utilize some very comfy massage chairs that I know about while I have some time to kill.
Well I had best get back to preparing for my last rotation to start tonight... YAY!!! And I need to look for some documents that are hiding in my storage locker somewhere... wish me luck.
Till next time...
Tan
