Hi everyone, We had a brilliant day at Christmas although it was only the two of us it was still fun. We spent it in Taupo at a campsite set right by the river. Hi Everyone, After leaving Auckland for the 2nd time we headed south to Taupo which is in the middle of the north island. It is set by a massive lake obviously called Lake Taupo and is in a geothermal active area. We ended up staying here for about 10 days all over xmas and New Year. Hi Everyone, After we left Auckland we headed up in Bob towards the Bay of Islands, round trip took about 5 days it was great we got do what we wanted when we wanted. More freedom with your own van. We stopped at Goat island which is great for snorkelling and sunned ourselves on many of the beaches towards Piaha (Bay of Islands).
