Well today I met 2 of my best friends in Rome - Josh and Philip! And I can say this one by far the best day of my life! ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! We met at their hotel and I had my first ever alone taxi ride. We went walking to find the colloseum and on the way saw the Santa Maria and went inside the St. Pietro In Vincoli as well as checking out ruins and trying expensive Italian cafe lattes! GOOD COFFEE but expensive €5. This was all before we were stuck with the BEAUTIFUL Colosseum that we initially fell in love with! The photos I got were stunning!! And must have taken about 200 of it and the ruins around it.
After that we looked for an Italian lunch! And found a restaurant along this cute street where meals were ever so cheap for pizza, pasta and lasagna! About €6-€8 for a meal and my CARBONARA was BELLISIMO! After that we headed over too Piazzale Guiseppe .. Which was the most spectacular view or the city! Wow! We just went up stairs which I think is the 2nd or 3rd tallest building in city and you can see EVERYTHING! Highly recommend it.

I had to meet up with my contiki tour for introductions and rules at 4pm but we were so close to the Trevi Fountain so with only 45 minutes to get back to my hotel we went in search and boy was I glad. Another amazing monument - surrounded by people, but absolutely amazing!!

Even though then I was rushing to find a taxi rank HOW COULD I end my day without a GELATO? - Nutella and coffee flavor? Ha! It was SO amazing.

Right after that we roamed the street for a taxi rank - which in Rome is the way to go cause flagging one down is usually close to impossible - and I went back to meet up with the contiki crew!

Man I cannot describe how I felt after such an amazing day!! Let alone did I know the awesome night we were in too having again!!
