Tasha's Travels
Today we spent most of the day with the Police trying to sort out the camera situation so Claire can get a replacement from the insurance asap. 2 Police stations later ( or should i say tin huts with one computer for 20 officers to share) we got what we needed. It was already 3 oclock, so our plans to head to Mendoza in the pm was starting to look unlikely and we were beginning to wonder if it was worth it- already over budget, and with a camera to replace we decided that there was still lots we hadn't done in Buenos Aires, and nothing that we could do in Mendoza that we won't get to do along the way.
So we have 3 more days in Buenos Aires before we fly off to Peru, which will be really nice because we can do all the things we didn't think we'd have time for! I can't believe how fast these weeks have gone!
We spent yesterday afternoon wandering along the port side, its very trendy along there, and there were lots of people in the sushi bars and fancy restaurants. They also had these statues of cows everywhere, all along the foot paths and each one was designed by someone, so they had different designs, some were really clever, but i took a couple of pics of the silly ones! A lot of the city still closes on a Sunday, but there were a few shops open and i managed to find some Havaina Flip Flips which are 20 quid at home, for 2.70!! BARGAIN! In the evening we hung out with the others at the hostel watching Garden State and Love Actually which was really nice and chilled! Camera Shopping tomorrow!! fingers crossed for Claire!
