We're now in one of the poorest and smallest countries in Europe, Albania. It's a country that's had continuous invasion and occupation, communist ruling as well as voluntary isolation for over a decade until 1991. Currently however it's trying to rebuild itself and has applied for membership to the European Union which is still pending. We've now began our sailing amongst the Greek Islands and I must say it's quite amazing! After a sailing briefing and assignments of the boats, we set out from Plateria with the Greek islands in site. I'm on a small yacht with five other people and for the next three days we have to cook and sail ourselves. I've definitely learnt a lot about sailing. Next stop for only a night is the former capital of Italy, Florence. On our way though we made a stop at Piza, and of course visited the Leaning Tower of Piza. Helloooo Italy! First stop was Verona, known for lovers paradise and home of Shakespeare's star crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet.
