We've now began our sailing amongst the Greek Islands and I must say it's quite amazing! After a sailing briefing and assignments of the boats, we set out from Plateria with the Greek islands in site. I'm on a small yacht with five other people and for the next three days we have to cook and sail ourselves. I've definitely learnt a lot about sailing. I've also learnt that I probably couldn't sail for more three days. I can't seem to relax and do nothing all day. I just keep getting bored and need things to do to keep me busy. It's fun though! We get to swim off the sides of the boats in the Mediterranean Sea and do things such as snorkeling. The water is always so warm and really clear so it's pretty awesome. I'm also getting an even better tan! The first night we stopped in a town called Petriti. We went out for dinner and then saw a show which consisted of greek dancing, fire and dancing with tables in your mouth! It was pretty crazy! That night it was also quite rough and our poor little boat was on the end. Let's just say we woke up in the morning with water on board. The second night we docked in Corfu. It was a bigger town with lots going on. First off I went for a little fish. After no luck I walked into town. We explored the old fortress and then the streets. For a Tuesday night it was pretty busy with lots of outdoor restaurants. Corfu is a place with a good vibe and atmosphere. The next day we headed back to Plateria. On the way we stopped at a water park where you could go para sailing, banana boating or jet skiing. I decided to go banana boating and I'm glad I did as it was so much fun! I didn't think it would be that hard to stay on but they were whipping us everywhere which made me come off a few times at least. We then set sail back to the docks where we slept that night. My highlight of the trip was that last night. We hit the local bar and when getting back on the boats, Emily ate poo and fell in the water. Funniest thing I've ever seen!!! That was the end of our sailing. I would probably say it's going to be up there as a highlight of the trip. It was great to just relax, rejuvenate and have some awesome fun!
