This morning we packed up the car and headed two hours south to Orlando where Universal studios awaited us. I don't even know how to explain one of the most amazing days ever! We went to Islands of Adventure and experienced the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Dr Seuss, Jurassic Park and Marvel Super Heroes! Simply breathtaking! Especially the hulk roller coaster and their newest ride, Harry Potter and the forbidden journey. After spending nine and a half hours there, we finally called it a day and headed to our accommodation which Ashley's dad surprised us with, the five star hotel 'The Grand Floridian,' located actually in Disney world. From our balcony we have views of Disney World and of course, the spectacular fireworks which are amazing. Tomorrow we head to Disney World itself so time to get some sleep!
One word to describe Disney World. Wow, wow and wow! It's definitely true that it's "the happiest place on earth!" It's by far way better than Universal and totally one of the best days of my life ever!!! We started off the day with an exclusive breakfast where we got to dine with the mascots of Disney. We then headed to Magic Kingdom to begin our long journey. We went on so many rides but the best were space mountain, splash mountain and thunder mountain. We then headed to another Disney park called Epcot. This is a park based on the future and also on countries of the world. You can walk around and come to realistic life sizes of countries where everything in that area relates to the country your in. E.g: the buildings, staff and even the food. Sadly they don't have Australia :( The best part of this park though was their newest attraction, soarin. It's a flight simulator where you glide over California. It sounds lame but it's actually quite incredible because it feels like your flying! Also, a ride called test track. It's the fastest ride in Disney history where your in a car that goes around a speedway and reaches speeds of 647 miles! Super fun!! We then headed back to Magic Kingdom for the firework show and parade. Best fireworks I've ever seen! By this stage it was nearly twelve o'clock and the general public had to leave the park. However, because we were staying at a resort in the park, we were allowed special access and allowed to stay until two! After having been there already for fifteen hours our feet and backs were killing us but we decided to push on and finally we made it to a whopping seventeen hours at Disney World!!! Come two o'clock we were pretty much crawling out of the park but it was well worth it! Overall the best twenty hours ever!!!!
