So, this is my last blog. THis is my last day in Africa :( I got back last night from Zanzibar into Moshi at 12am. My flight kept getting delayed. I'm sad but happy to go home, even though Africa feels a bit like home now. I will miss the woonderful people and the simplistic lifestyles. I will miss Zanzibar and I will always miss how stress free I feel here. I love it and I promise I'm comming back. Yes, Asa i was staying in the huts on the beach in zanzibar :) I miss you a bunch though! I had the best time in Zanzibar. I hung out with all those new people I met and we went for dinner above the Indian Ocean and watched the sunset. On Thursday I had one of the best days of my entire life. Me and Darrin, this guy I met from Calgary, rented a motorbike and cruised all the way up and around from Numgwei down till Pungwei and stopped at different hotels along the coast, layed out, got drinks and then continued on our way. Riding in the sunset was amazing. It couldn't get any better than that. Then we cut across the island and rode to Stone Town and ate at the strip of street vendors. I had a banana chocolate pancake and this weird dinner pancake thing and sugar cane/ginger juice, freshly squeezed of course. It was one of the best days of my entire life. Then we drove back to Nungwei and Kendwa in the moonlight, saw a shooting star, and met Julia and Michelle at the hotel. We all swam in the ocean at night. It was when I was riding on the back of the bike, dodging kids, dogs, chickens, cows, and potholes, that i really noticed how beautiful life and the world and God is. THis has been the best trip of my entire life. I'm so thankful that i got to experieence Africa and the amazing people here. ON friday, my last day, we took a boat to this island next to zanzibar and went snorkeling. It was so cool. Then we drove to the coast, had freshly barbequed tuna that had just been caught and flavored with zanzibar spices. I love life. Then we got back and I had to catch my flight. I am so excited to see everyone at home and I miss you all. Thanks for reading :) I fly home tonight and get home sunday night. Africa has been one of the best things that has happened to me.
peace and love,
Tara
