Just a quick entry to keep you all updated...
I did do the canyoning which is a mix of abseiling down the side of waterfalls and then jumping off other waterfalls, it was SO much fun! I did think I would be a bit more worried about doing it but I was actually like a kid in a sweet shop, I loved it. We had to wear the most ridiculous clothing, wet suit, lovely shoes, another top thing, life jacket and this thing which was bright yellow and looked like a nappy, good stuff! They took a whole cd worth of pictures so when I get chance (and the computer enables me to) I will add some on here for you to laugh at. I just tried to add some as everyone´s moaning at me but my camera battery died!
Then the next day (all reference to what actual day of the week it is has completely gone!) we left Banos at 6am to head towards Peru! After the 14 hour drive, most hilarious border crossing I´ve ever seen and a whole massive packet of plaintain chips later, we arrive in Peru! We had to put our tents up on the beach in the dark so as you can imagine it fell straight down! We did sort it though and (touch wood) ours has been one of only 2 to not completely collapse.... Thursday we came into town for a bit and then got a ric saw back to the place where we´re staying, it´s probably 25 ish minutes in a car but the 3 wheel motor bike taxi took about 45 minutes with the 3 of us in it! I keep having to pinch myself with things like this to remind me of exactly where I am, riding a ric saw in Peru, carzy. Yesterday was serious sunshine time as it is so hot here on the coast, I have to confess I did get rather rouge though so am taking it a little easier today!
Tonight we are going to sleep under tha stars as we have to leave early tomorrow for a 10 hour journey to Huncaco (or something like that). It´s so warm here so it´ll be lovely plus saves packing the tent at 6am, bonus.
Not too sure what we are doing in the next place so will leave that bit of mystery with you, bet you can´t wait! X
