Did an overnight bus trip from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado on the 14th March, bus was okay but at about 330am we came to a stop and sat there for just over 2 hours due to some sort of road block. So just ate Alpaca for dinner, so very delicious. Has been compared to beef but I think is far more delicate flavour, super tender and thin crispy outer. Highly recommend!! Restaurant called Nuna Raymi. Tried Ayrampu tea which is an infusion of cactus seeds, bright red in colour. Tea was also infused with passionflower and cinnamon, very sweet tasting.
