Up early again today, bus from Cusco to Puno at 7am. We meant to arrive Puno about 4:30pm but not meant to be. There is some sort of strike in Juliaca so we had to take a different route which would add 2 hours onto our trip. 3am start, had to sleep in what we wearing for day as quite a race between all the groups to get to checkpoint first. Had breakfast and by 3:20am we on the move, checkpoint is only 5 minutes away and we are the 1st group to arrive, now we sit and wait until 5:30am to pass through. Up at 3:45am as met in plaza at 4:30am to start our journey to Macchu Picchu. Doing the trek with Llama Path, which is a local company, will take 4 days / 3 nights.
