Last blog from Cancun!
I should be asleep by now as I've got to be up at 6am once again but this blog is becoming an addiction :p
Another beautiful day. So so hot but apparently tomorrow is going to be even hotter so I will have to get used to this heat lol!
Went to Tulum this morning. It's one of the last cities built and inhabited by the Mayas and has an absolutely gorgeous beach too. Beautiful views.
It was a mad rush this morning! Managed to fit even more stuff in my backpack, freeing up space in my daypack. Have no idea why I couldn't do that before lol!! Checked out of my room just in time to be picked up for Tulum but of course the bus was late so all that rush for nothing lol!!
As soon as I got on the bus I got greeted by two Spanish girls who offered me food! Bless them! Good thing as I had no time to grab breakfast. A shame they weren't going to Tulum as we had to get another bus. A big group of us so everyone kept themselves to themselves.
Met my group this evening. There's only 5 of us, 6 if you include the CEO (Chief Experience Officer) so a very small group! Probably a good thing as it means it makes it slightly easier for me to follow everyone! There's one young couple from Moscow, one woman from Belgium in her late 30s and another from the UK who's in her early 50s I think. So a mixture of ages! The CEO is called Juan and he's from Patagonia. Probably the very first South American I've ever met! He's a lovely bloke, very easy to understand and makes sure I'm following. The Russian couple are very difficult to understand but will have to get used to them which I'm sure I will eventually :)
Juan gave us a briefing of what to expect, things to be aware about and so on. We will be using public transport mainly which is great as I'd much rather do that than use private coaches, it's all part of the experience.
Afterwards we all went out for dinner so this lovely restaurant. Had my first cocktail of my travels as it was 2 for 1. Had one of my favourites, strawberry daiquiri. Not as nice as the one in Agora though! (a bar in Vic when I went to visit Hannah last week.) Food was lovely too, had fajitas. Nachos are served free of charge everywhere we go! A shame I don't like them no matter how many times I try them lol! Probably a good thing otherwise I may never stop eating them, wouldn't be very good would it :p
Got my own room once again tonight! As usually 2 people share and there are 5 of us, two of which are a couple so looks like us 3 girls will be taking in turns getting our own rooms!
Off to visit Chichen Itza tomorrow before going onto Merida where we'll be staying for 2 nights. Looking forward to going somewhere different and exploring something new.
Must grab some sleep!
Buenas noches xxxx

Abbie Lovely photos of Tulum. Enjoy Merida (it was my start point of my cycling challenge in 2001!) & Chichen Itza. Hope you will be able to go up as I did. Xoxo
Camilla The weather you're having is so much better than here. And no doubt you'll be BLACK when you return. Envious here. Loving the pictures ! Xxxxxxx
