We got the free breakfast and despite intending to visit Noosa Heads beach again but the weather was bad! We drove south a little and saw some crazy surfing so stopped to look. We walked along the beach for a bit, struggled to get back to the car and carried on.
We drove only like 150km, but stopped at McDs for the toilet, but it was half price lunch menu...so we got an early lunch.
We arrived in Brisbane at like midday and found our hostel easily despite the crazy town roads which were very confusing! At first the hostel looked a bit pants but in check in, not only did the manager let us park in his space because the car park was full and we were still early, but id accidentally booked two people for one night into a female dorm.... So they upgraded us to a private room!!!!!! WE COULDN'T BELIEVE IT!!! It was just what we needed - what a blessing!
We were so excited to have our own space with no smell and no other noise!!! We had downloaded the film 'The Impossible' about the family in the tsunami in Thailand in 2004. I'd wanted to watch it for ages and was very sad but also a great moment getting to watch a film with my husband!
We ate spaghetti on toast with one plate and one set of knives and falks and took a 2 hour walk down to the river and around the city at night. It was a lovely walk! We even treated ourselves to a drink at the hostel bar!!
I enjoyed an early night whilst Garth went up to the cinema room.
