Day 1 So I'm 4 days behind on my blog due to the Inca Trail! After an early start we got a ram packed mini bus for 2 hours up to Ollantaytambo. It had our guide, 7 porters, a chef and 7 of us with all our bags and kit!! There was a dodgy smell in the bus but then I thought I'll smell worse than this by the end!! An early morning flight from Arequipa via Puno brought us to Cuzco! We flew over a volcano but we were on the wrong side of the plane. We did a walking tour of Cuzco and I ordered a fruit salad smoothie but got a bowl of fruit at the market! We went to a 'coffee with legs' with the boys where the waitress wore short shorts and I had a hot chocolate with Baileys! We then went for a walk with Grant up the hill. Back in Arequipa for 1 night before we fly to Cusco tomorrow. We tried to see Juanita Mummy but she is in the university lab!

A 5am start with a buffet breakfast with a view, we got on the mini bus to Colca Canyon to see the Condors. Colca Canyon is TWICE as deep as the Grand Canyon!! After arriving at our hotel we had a 30 min rest then were due for a 1hr group walk at 3pm. Garth and I got to reception at 2.58 and no one was there?!?!?
