Mon here - well can't say that my first impressions were as bad as I expected. Picking up the RV and navigating our way to Walmart for supplies was a fun experience and after one of the fastest shops on record we were on our way to Yosemite Pines RV Park.

Henry did very well driving the RV which feels a bit like being in a big white bath tub full of water and parking it is a whole nother kettle of fish. We arrived at the park after about 3 hours on the road and except for the fridge door busting open a few times (luckily no wine spilt!) we managed to "hook up" the RV and settle in for the night.

It was my job to sort refreshments and so pre-mixed vodka and Budweiser beers were the order of the day! So classy! Shorts, thongs, singlets, RV trailer park and the Talbots - what a combination!

First night was a great success and I even managed to visit the park facilities (yep Mon showered in a public bathroom - go figure!) Henry did make me laugh as we lay in the RV trying to get to sleep and he said "not quite Saffire Lodge is it?"

The boys woke up super excited to be going to Yosemite and it was already a stinking hot day without a cloud in the sky so we set off on our first day of adventuring to Vernal Falls. After a quick visit to REI in SF we were all kitted up raring to go!
